Word Skills 2: Formatted Footers

Formatting the footer of a document so that it contains information about the author, filename, date or page number are important. 

Students need to authenticate their work and footers enable them to add their name, class and date that the document was created.


  1. From the Insert Menu tab, select Footer.
  2. Choose one of the styles from the drop down menu.
  3. Enter the details.
  4. Double-click the cursor on the body of the document to exit the footer section.
